Why do we start clickateeonline?
Simply put - we want to make it easier for everyone to enjoy golf. “Is there a better way for golfers to gain access and information they need to book a round of golf in the region?” we asked.
Access - how many golf courses do you think you can play in Singapore if you are not a club member? One? Three? No. The answer is MOST clubs welcome visitors. As long as the members’ priority and privileges are kept intact, most clubs are happy to let visitors take up the unused tee-slots. Besides, do you know there are more than 200 beautiful golf courses in Malaysia and the same number in Thailand? We want to create a space that helps you find a golf course near you - wherever and whenever you are.
Internet - Where can we golf? When can we golf? How much to golf? Let’s put all these information in the golfers’ fingertips. No one likes listening to answering machines. And we absolutely hate pseudo online booking sites that make us download forms, find a printer, find a fax machine … and sit and wait for them to email if the slot is available. We want real-time availability, immediate confirmation for tee-times.
Design - we didn’t want to build just another golf booking engine. We want to build THE portal for GOLFERS. Most existing Internet booking engines (including in America) are built by programmers for … err … programmers (sorry kenneth). They are designed in a linear fashion - choose your destination - click, show calendar - click, choose date - click choose golf course - click, choose number of golfers - click, choose tee-time - click … “Not available”, go back to step 1. Six mouse-clicks and six page refresh to see NO availability! And we haven’t even reached the booking and payment pages yet. No way. We need something easier and faster for the users.
This was how clickateeonline was conceived. A site that gives you all the information you need (where, when, price) in real-time without even making you click your mouse. Make the search and booking process so easy that my 10-year old nephew and my 68 year old dad can do it. Ok, my dad doesn’t golf. But you do.
